It's been well over 24 hours since we saw Khabib Nurmagomedov's shocking victory over UFC's golden boy Conor McGregor, and with the dust still settling, many wonder what is next for both fighters.

McGregor made his feelings clear that he wants another shot at Khabib, but former UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo wants his long overdue rematch with the Irishman.

Khabib himself has a long line of competitors vying for his Lightweight title. Tony Ferguson defeated Anthony Pettis in the co-main event of UFC 229 and is now the new number one contender.

Despite all the speculation around who deserves their shot at Khabib, Nick Diaz remains unimpressed by the 30-year-old.

He told Fox Sports: "I think my brother can beat him... I know I could definitely beat him."

Diaz put McGregor's defeat down to his inability to defend on the bottom and showed his support for the Irishman, saying he wanted McGregor to win because of Khabib's 'dirty' fighting style.

Diaz criticised Khabib's approach of "holding onto someone and giving them little hits" and said: "The two things people want out of mixed martial arts right now is more of me, and less of you (Khabib)"

The moment Khabib forced McGregor to tap out will go down in UFC history, but Diaz dismissed the Russian's victory even further by saying: “I don’t think Conor looked like himself in that fight.

“First time I saw him on screen. Yeah, I don’t think he looked 100% Conor McGregor in that fight.”

The comments from the 35-year-old add further interest into an already intriguing affair, it had been almost two years since The Notorious One stepped into the Octagon.

McGregor defeated Eddie Alvarez when he became the first fighter in history to hold two separate weight division titles.

Diaz last fought in the UFC in January 2015, when his defeat to Anderson Silva was overturned due to Silva testing positive for a banned substance, Diaz also tested positive for Marijuana and there have been question marks over a return ever since.
