Giants' Saquon Barkley causes several Eagles players to miss him on Beast Mode style play

Philadelphia Eagles v New York Giants

The Philadelphia Eagles got the better of the New York Giants on Thursday night, winning the game at MetLife Stadium 34-13.

However, if there is one positive which the Giants can take away from this game it's that they have one incredible running back to rely upon for the future.

Saquon Barkley had a phenomenal game for New York, as he came close to becoming the first ever Giants player to have at least 100 rushing yards and 100 receiving yards in a single game.

In fact, he finished one yard shy of that record, as he ended his night with 130 rushing yards off 13 carries and 99 receiving yards from nine catches. He also had one rushing touchdown.

There were several contenders for Barkley's best play of the night, but the one that amazed the most people was arguably a 55-yard gain in the second quarter.

From the Giants own 32-yard line, the second overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft received the ball on a pass from Eli Manning, and then drove it down the field to the Eagles' 13-yard line.

As you can see in the video below, on the way, the running back made several Eagles players miss him (we counted seven) before he was brought down.

The run reminded many NFL fans watching the game on Thursday night of Marshawn Lynch's famous Beast Mode run against the New Orleans Saints in January 2011 while he was with the Seattle Seahawks.

Barkley now has 100+ scrimmage yards in each of his first six games this season, which is the second-longest such streak by a rookie since 1970. Only Kareem Hunt (seven) has more.

He also has 430 rushing yards and 356 receiving yards through six games so far, making him the first rookie ever to go over 400 rushing and 300 receiving through six games.

Saquon Barkley was unstoppable vs Eagles on Thursday night

Barkley was the only bright spark on a Giants team last night that struggled immensely against their NFC East rivals.

As a result of the loss, New York now moves to a 1-5 record after the first six games of the season. They're yet to win a game at home this season.

The Giants have a lot of problems on offense right now with Manning not playing good and Odell Beckham Jr. not being happy, but at least Barkley is giving their fanbase something to smile about.
