WWE are used to bringing back part-time and retired talents nowadays to try and boost ratings or send their fans on a trip down memory lane.
The Undertaker is seemingly on television now more than he has been in the last five years, Shawn Michaels is returning to the ring for the first time in over eight years, and Triple H still occasionally steps into the squared circle.
And two more previously retired superstars returned last week to set up a future pay-per-view match.
Trish Stratus and Lita will both return to the ring at WWE Evolution on October 28, and were originally supposed to have singles bouts against Alexa Bliss and Mickie James respectively.
But last week on Raw, that was condensed into a tag team match, with the Extreme Diva making her return to WWE television to help her best friend and former rival beat down their Evolution opponents.
It makes total sense considering the two haven't competed since 2006, aside from their appearances in the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble this past January, and Lita's one-on-one with Heath Slater at Raw 1000 in 2012.
SkyBet odds show that Lita and Trish are odds-on to take home the victory at Evolution, which could be a feel-good moment if it proves to be their last bout ever.
But PWInsider have revealed, per Ringside News, that their Evolution match will not just be a one-and-done - because WWE would like them to stick around as a tag team, and want the pair to compete at 'major shows'.
We have no idea if they'll be as good as they were in their prime - as both are in their 40s now - but as shown in the Rumble match, Lita can still pull off the famous Moonsault.
And if the revelation is true, the rumoured Women's Tag Team Championships may be closer to fruition than people think.
We're sure the WWE Universe would absolutely lap-up Lita and Trish as a more regular addition to the roster though, and it could mean dream matches with the likes of Sasha Banks, Bayley and Charlotte Flair.
