SmackDown 1000 is next week and the company have been making some big moves to try and make the broadcast feel like a special occasion.

Thus far, the WWE has announced that Evolution will be reforming on the show - even though they have never appeared on SmackDown - and The Undertaker will make a special appearance.

Edge is likely to host an interview segment on his old talkshow the 'Cutting Edge' and we know that Rey Mysterio will return to the company and face United States champion Shinsuke Nakamura in a qualifying match for the Crown Jewel World Cup.

It has also been speculated that The Rock will make some kind of contribution to the show, but that might be via a video message or live feed.

SmackDown has always been the secondary show of WWE even if the company do their best to present it as otherwise. It's just that Raw is the flagship show, it has nothing to do with the product.

In fact, many would argue that SmackDown is the superior show at the moment and has always prioritised wrestling down the years.

With the legends that are returning and the Top 10 Moments you can find on the WWE Network, it's clear that the WWE see the early 2000s as a glory period for the Blue Brand.

However, there's one man that has not been asked to be apart of the show and WWE fans are pretty outraged about it - and that man is Christian.

Mike Johnson of PWinsider reports that Christian is not currently scheduled to appear on the show and considering Edge is, fans are wondering why that is.

In 2011, Christian was a major part of the show and had two short, but very memorable runs as the world champion while feuding with Randy Orton. A post on Reddit shows how displeased wrestling fans really are about Christian's apparent snub.

Considering those years aren't the WWE's golden years, it's undeniable that Christian shone a bright light on the show when it needed it. He also took part in the first TLC match on national television and moved to SmackDown from Raw in 2005 as a big name trade.

Do you guys think Christian deserves to be on the SmackDown 1000 show? It's possible there is a scheduling conflict and he, or the WWE have their reasons for his omission, but those details are not clear at the moment.
