Coutinho compilation video

On Sunday evening, a Liverpool fan on Twitter posted an amazing Coutinho compilation video from the first half of last season.

The 26-year-old playmaker was in absolutely electric form after being denied a summer move to Barcelona.

Totally unplayable.

The Reds are hoping to challenge Man City for the Premier League title but fans are worried that there is one key ingredient missing.

Klopp strengthened Liverpool's midfield over the summer but failed to sign a Coutinho replacement.

After watching the compilation video, Liverpool fans on social media were all saying that he still needs to be replaced.

Liverpool don't have anyone that can pick open a defence like Coutinho could - Adam Lallana has been plagued by injury problems.

Club legend Jamie Carragher is also hoping that Klopp addresses the situation over the winter.

"We need a bit more quality in midfield, I think. That’s all. Maybe he’ll revisit that in January," he told This is Anfield.

"I just look at that midfield and I think we’re missing that Coutinho type of player. We went in for [Nabil] Fekir, so we’re obviously looking for someone like that.

"We’re trying to compete with City, and I look and they’ve got De Bruyne and Silva in there. I don’t think we’ve got that sort of player."
