Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov will live long in the memory for UFC fans - not for the fight itself, but the chaos that ensued afterwards.

After submitting McGregor in the forth round Khabib turned his attention to the Irishman's camp in the crowd, specifically Dillon Danis.

Khabib jumped over the cage and launched himself at Danis to spark a mass brawl. Security eventually broke it up and several arrests were made.

Before long Khabib returned to the Octagon to confront UFC president Dana White, who refused to give the Russian his lightweight belt.

White feared that crowning Khabib as defending champion after his actions at the T-Mobile Arena would cause trouble.

"If I put this belt on you, people will lose their shit and start throwing stuff in the Octagon," White told Khabib at the time. "Other people will get hurt."

He then said in a separate interview: "I knew that was going to happen.

WHITE SAW IT COMING

"If we put the belt on him in the Octagon, they (the fans) would be throwing beer and stuff down on them. We had to get him out of there."

White also suggested that Khabib should be fined $250,000 of the $2m purse he was entitled to but shouldn't be stripped of his title.

"I think they should take $250,000 from him. He absolutely keeps his title. And he's going to get suspended, so maybe you give him a four to six months suspension."

Khabib did eventually receive the lightweight belt and one of his first thoughts was to take a picture with it while sitting on White's BMW.

In the Instagram post below, Khabib wrote: "You [sic] lucky that you give my belt, or I would smash your car, I know your parking location."

Khabib's rebellious post attracted over 3.5m likes and now footage has emerged of the whole incident, from the Russian spotting White's car to what he said afterwards.

One of his teammates told him to leave his Papakha on the hood, to which he says: "No no no brother, ten years with me brother. Dana don't deserve this. This is different brother."

KHABIB: "DANA DON'T DESERVE THIS"

Khabib does what he wants. Investigation is ongoing by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) - who are currently withholding the 30-year-old's $2m purse - regarding his actions.

But with lucrative offers from WWE and 50 Cent on the table, Khabib seems very relaxed about his uncertain future in UFC.
