Usain Bolt did his chances of becoming a professional footballer no harm last week by scoring two goals in a friendly against Macarthur South West United.

Central Coast Mariners won the game 4-0 and it was their Jamaican striker who stole the show in what was his second trial match.

Bolt is showing signs of improvement under manager Paul Okon but admitted on the sidelines that he still needs to work on his touch, vision and movement.

"I think I made some slight mistakes," he said after being substituted, "but it was my first proper game with the first team so I'm just happy I got the chance and I'm proud of myself.

"I watch football so I understand the movement but the simple things like locking my ankles, getting into space, pulling away the defenders... I've learned a lot.

"I've been improving so I'm just happy I could come out here and show the world I'm improving. I think I've improved in every area.

"My touch is better, my vision needs to improve, my running off the ball needs improving the most. I've just got to continue improving."

BOLT ON FIFA 19?

Bolt, who started his trial in August, was told he would be given 12 months to prove himself as a footballer, but it's likely he will be judged as early as January.

Central Coast will be able to sign him as a free agent in the winter transfer window, which would also see him appear on FIFA 19.

Football fans are desperate to play with the sprinter-turned-striker - but what would happen if Central Coast decided not to sign him?

Well, according to an EA Sports source, Bolt could still be included in FIFA 19's winter update as a free agent and the game's fastest player if he doesn't earn a professional contract.

"If Usain is picked up by the Central Coast Mariners then he will automatically be included in the winter update or the next major update," the source said, per Fox Sports.

"But if he isn't listed then he might be included as a free agent. He will also be the fastest player in the game."

How exciting. It's believed Bolt would be given 99 pace on FIFA 19, which is three higher than the game's current fastest player, Wolves winger Adama Traore (96).

Make it happen, EA.
