Evolution is on the horizon and it's really starting to sink in that the WWE is going to hold their first-ever all-women's pay-per-view.

Already confirmed for the event are the title matches for Raw, SmackDown Live and NXT.

That will see Ronda Rousey defend her Raw Women's title against Nikki Bella, Charlotte Flair challenge Becky Lynch for the SmackDown Live Women's title in a Last Woman Standing match and Shayna Baszler looks to reclaim the NXT Women's title she lost to Kairi Sane.

We'll also see Trish Stratus and Lita return as a tag team when they take on Alexa Bliss and Mickie James - an old foe of both the legendary women - two on two after originally being slated for singles matches.

Who else will we see at the show? Michelle McCool is rumoured to be training to be apart of the event but Beth Phoenix has ruled herself out after her father recently passed away.

GiveMeSport spoke to Stephanie McMahon on a conference call on Monday and the chief brand officer of WWE spoke about Evolution and what fans can expect.

When asked whether she had considered competing at the first-ever all-women's pay-per-view, McMahon made a point to say this is about today's women's division. However, she didn't completely rule out getting back in the squared circle in the future.

McMahon has been a fantastic ambassador for women's progress in the WWE and although plenty of WWE superstars have showered her in praise for her efforts, she has continued to shine the light on the talent in the ring.

In truth, Evolution hasn't had the smoothest buily because of the promotion needed for Super Show-Down and Crown Jewel, with Evolution wedged in between.

However, now that we are just two weeks away from the event and WWE are monitoring events in Saudi Arabia which cast doubts on Crown Jewel, Evolution is firmly in the spotlight and we can expect to see it highlighted on television over the next couple of weeks.
