Raheem Sterling was the star as England beat Spain 3-2 in Seville on Monday night. Two goals from the Manchester City forward stunned the hosts and gave England a 3-0 lead before half-time, with Marcus Rashford also getting on the scoresheet.Paco Alcarer and Sergio Ramos scored for Spain in the second half but Gareth Southgate's side held on to secure an historic victory.Seldom do England put on such an attacking masterclass and speaking after the game Sterling spoke of his relief at finally ending his goal drought."We went at them straight from the beginning and we were clinical," said the 23-year-old. "It was a beautiful feeling to score."I put pressure on myself - it's my position to score goals - so it meant a lot to me. As a forward you go through patches."But I am forgetting about looking nice and concentrating on getting in behind and causing havoc. The celebrations when it went in... that was frustration, all the pressure, coming out.

BACK WITH A BANG

"There is nothing better than scoring in an England shirt."

And Southgate added: "I'm delighted for Raheem. I don't think he ever lacked confidence but, sometimes, you get chances and you're thinking too much.

"Tonight he was prepared to hit things early. His general game was good. He took up some really dangerous pockets of play, turned and ran at the defence.

"He and Marcus [Rashford] were diligent with their defending too. We had to do more than our share and being compact without the ball was critical."

Sterling terrorised Spain's defence with his pace at the Estadio Benito Villamarin and one man who was visibly frustrated was Ramos.

Indeed, at one point in the second period it looked like the Real Madrid captain stamped on Sterling inside the 18-yard box. Check it out below.

Due to the footage being far from conclusive, football fans have been debating whether Ramos actually stamped on Sterling or not. Here's a small collection of tweets.

However, slow-motion footage has now emerged of the incident and it shows that Ramos DID stamp on Sterling's ankle as he went past.

Disgusting behaviour from Ramos, who is very lucky the referee wasn't watching otherwise he surely would have been shown a red card.

Not that we expect anything less from the controversial 32-year-old.
