WWE currently finds themselves in hot water due to their relationship with Saudi Arabia ahead of their Crown Jewel event on November 2.

Many people are encouraging WWE to either cancel or relocate Crown Jewel due to Saudi Arabia's current ties in an ongoing investigation of the disappearance of a journalist in their embassy in Turkey.

Many companies have cut their ties with the Kingdom as a result of this piece of news, but WWE has kept their relationship with the country intact and is still looking to host Crown Jewel there.

Huge matches are expected to take place at the event including the Brothers of Destruction (The Undertaker and Kane) vs D-Generation X (Triple H and Shawn Michaels).

This will be Michaels' first match in the WWE in over eight years and reports have stated it will lead to more storylines for HBK, including a WrestleMania 35 match vs AJ Styles.

However, if further reports are to be believed, the status of Crown Jewel will drastically affect Michaels' return to the WWE.

According to the Wrestling Observer Live, via Cageside Seats, HBK's entire return could be called off if Crown Jewel doesn’t happen in Saudi Arabia as initially planned.

The belief is that if Crown Jewel is called off, all the matches from the event will be moved to Survivor Series on November 18.

If Crown Jewel is called off though, Wrestling Observer Live, via Ringside News, believe that Michaels won't work Survivor Series, and the Brothers of Destruction vs DX match will be moved to WrestleMania 35 instead.

WWE has already invested a lot into this feud, including promos for both teams and the spot at the end of Super Show-Down, so it will be disappointing if the cancellation of Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia also brings an end to Michael's return.

However, with so much money being on the line with their relationship with the Kingdom, as well as their reputation due to their current ties, WWE must make the right decision on Crown Jewel and this decision shouldn't be affected by whether or not a storyline goes ahead because of it.
