Liverpool's Joe Gomez produced an excellent performance in England's 3-2 win over Spain on Monday night.
The 21-year-old defender - who has formed an impressive partnership with Virgil van Dijk at Anfield - looked assured alongside Harry Maguire.
Liverpool teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold believes Gomez is already one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League.
"He [Gomez] is showing this season he is a top player," Alexander-Arnold told Liverpool's official website.
"At a young age, he's one of the best in his position in the league. That takes some doing, so that's credit to him especially with the setbacks he has had.
"He has an immense hunger and drive to keep succeeding, going forward and getting better. You see that every day in training with the way he applies himself.
"The relationship he has forged with Virgil has really helped him. He probably looks up to Virgil as a bit of a role model. It's like he's a mini Virgil at times!"
In Dejan Lovren's absence, Liverpool fans have been raving about Gomez's performances.
Jurgen Klopp's side have the joint-best defensive record in the league - and plenty of credit must go towards the former Charlton Athletic academy star.

He's strong, fast, good in the air, calm in possession and makes the right decisions time and time again.
Gomez, equipped with all the tools to become one of the best defenders in Europe, is developing into an absolute colossus at the back for club and country.
He recently admitted that he wants his partnership with Van Dijk to be as renowned as Liverpool’s world class front three.
“We’ve got a very strong side and our front three is very well-known after last season,” Gomez told Sky.
“At the same time it’s very early and clean sheets is our job and what we want to do but we want to keep going and continue to build a reputation like our front three did last year.”
