It's been a rollercoaster ride at the very least for Khabib and his team following the events of UFC 229 and the brawl that ensued post-fight.

Khabib took the interesting decision to stand by his teammate Zubaira Tukhugov, who has been removed from his upcoming fight following his involvement in the post-fight incident.

In addition to this, Dana White has hinted at the fact that Tukhugov, and the others involved, could be removed from the UFC altogether.

However, Khabib Nurmagedov has decided to stand by his 'brother' and has threatened to quit the UFC should this happen, with WWE supposedly waiting in the wings.

Regarding the situation, Khabib had this to say: "If you think I'm going to be silent, then you're wrong. You canceled the (Tukhugov) fight and you want to fire him just for hitting Conor."

He added: "Then know that you and I will lose him, we are in Russia we do not abandon and I for my brother will go to the end and if you decide to fire him, then don't forget to send my broken contract."

However, Dana White has finally spoken out about the situation between the UFC and the Dagestani fighter.

“We’re good with Khabib," he told TMZ.

“We’re good. We worked it out. We’re gonna get everything worked out. Obviously, he was a little upset, he was a little fired up.

"We’ll get it all worked out. Guys get very emotional and that was a very emotional fight for him, obviously. At the end of the day, Khabib is a great guy and we’ve always had a great relationship with him. It’s all good.

“He’s staying in the UFC. This will work out,” the president of the UFC concluded.

Regarding Khabib's future, White was quick to dismiss the possibility of a rematch between McGregor and Nurmagomedov.

“I don’t know. We haven’t talked about that yet.

“He’s doing this whole tour right now. Let this guy enjoy his win and then we’ll figure that out.”.

Khabib has yet to discuss an agreement with the UFC, and a return to the Octagon anytime soon is appearing unlikely at the moment.
