Unless you've been living under a rock for the last three weeks, you've seen the infamous footage of Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba from Manchester United training. After months upon months of speculation that the pair had fallen out, the emergence of the clip seemed to confirm that trouble was brewing at Old Trafford.Pogba was seen skipping over to greet certain members of the United staff but - upon seeing Mourinho - his entire demeanour changed and a frosty exchange ensued.Lip readers and journalists tried to decipher the situation in the days that followed and it was eventually concluded that Pogba's Instagram activity was behind it all.The Frenchman had uploaded a video of him laughing at Old Trafford with Andreas Pereira and Luke Shaw just after the Red Devils were defeated by Derby County in the Carabao Cup.

Infamous Mourinho-Pogba video

It certainly wasn't a good look for Pogba and reviews of the footage appeared to show Mourinho asking about the player's Instagram.

However, reports quickly indicated that the poor WiFi at the ground was behind the discrepancy with Pogba intending to upload it during the game.

That backstory was accepted by United supporters and in the weeks that followed, neither Mourinho nor Pogba have fully explained the moment.

Pereira explains the incident

However, none other than Pereira has now spoken out and given the most detailed explanation of the event yet having been present during the Instagram video and training.

During an interview with Brazilian publication UOL, he explained: "It was in a cup game. Pogba posted the video before and there was me and left-back Luke Shaw laughing.

"We were winning the game 1-0 at the time of the video. Then we lost the game, and people said that Pogba posted later. But he posted before.

"The manager thought that Pogba had posted later. He asked him why that had happened. There was a mood about it. These things were out here in England. But I have nothing to do with it."

Interesting, interesting.

So Pereira has confirmed the Instagram story, but the details about Mourinho's 'mood' and the reason the video was posted later remain a little shady.

Nevertheless, it's the most detailed account United fans have been given and the midfielder also opened up on his own opportunity at the 'Theatre of Dreams.'

"Mourinho gave me a chance, he said to me: 'I want you to stay here,'" he continued.

"It would be a shot on my own foot to badmouth the guy who gave me the first opportunity to play and is still giving it. ‘

"The relationship is good, it’s cool. I have a very good relationship with him, with the players and he also has a good relationship with the players."
