Cardinals' Twitter attempts to cheer up fans in funny manner after huge loss vs Broncos

Denver Broncos v Arizona Cardinals

Thursday Night Football over the past couple of seasons has received a lot of criticism as NFL fans haven't been happy with the competitive matchups offered.

This week's game between the Arizona Cardinals and the Denver Broncos was no different, but nobody thought it would end the way which it did.

The Broncos put on a defensive masterpiece, as they were able to win 45-10 thanks to five defensive turnovers, snapping a four-game losing streak.

Denver was so dominant that they jumped out to a 14-0 lead in less than seven minutes, which grew into a 28-3 lead in less than 16 minutes, before cruising to a dominant blowout.

Cardinals' Josh Rosen's started badly as he threw a pick-six on the first drive, and it never got better after that. He ended up throwing three interceptions and fumbled the ball away twice. Ball security will be a must in next week's training for him.

However, the best reaction to the final score of the game has to go to the Cardinals' own Twitter account, who usually post a graphic of the final score after every game.

Due to the blowout, they decided not to. They instead opted to take another approach to try and soften the blow for the many members of their fanbase that are hurting due to the state which the team finds themselves in this season.

Instead, they posted a GIF of puppies on swings.

Yet, Cardinals fans in the replies are only asking one thing from the team following the loss; the dismissal of Mike McCoy as offensive coordinator.

After the game, via ESPN, Arizona head coach Steve Wilks said it was "premature" to talk about any changes that could be coming to the team. However, it's clear that some must be made.

McCoy will likely be the one to go though, as the Cardinals' offense played bad throughout the game.

Whether it be the five turnovers, to the call of a timeout on the second play of the game, or the lack of running game the team has had all season, all the offensive problems point back to him.

Cardinals fans want Mike McCoy fired following the offense's poor performance vs Broncos

With the team sitting on a 1-6 record, it is clear he has no solution.

Rosen finished the day with 194 yards, a touchdown, and three interceptions after completing 21 of his 39 passing attempts. The team only managed 69 rushing yards off 21 attempts.

It's quite possible that we could see a major change at the Cardinals before they play their Week Eight game against the San Francisco 49ers on October 28.
