Neymar continued his incredible record for Brazil this week as he picked up his 94th cap for the Selecao. That's enough to move him into Brazil's top ten for appearances - a staggering feat for a 26-year-old.He's been playing for his country for eight years now, making his debut at just 18 years old and scoring against the United States. And that was just the start as Neymar has gone on to become the face of the Brazilian National Team, much as was predicted when he was a teenager. Now sporting the iconic no.10 shirt, he follows in the footsteps of some of the games all-time greats - a group he's sure to join when he hangs up his boots.Notably, the man Neymar moved past to enter the top-ten Brazilian appearance holders was Pele. And the man who is considered by many to be Brazil's greatest ever player was quick to recognise that fact, sending a message to Neymar on Twitter."Congratulations, [Neymar], on your caps this week," he said. 'You surpassed my 92. Now go and get my goals record too - Brazil needs you!"While Pele is no longer on of Brazil's most-capped players, he still tops the list for goals with a fantastic 77.Just looking at the names that trail him shows off the achievement best: Ronaldo, Romario, Zico, Bebeto, Rivaldo, Jairzinho, and Ronaldinho all feature in the top ten.

No one is even within 15 goals of Pele, however, but it does look like Neymar can challenge the legend's record.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward is on 59 goals - good enough for third, already - and at his current scoring rate he would match Pele after 125 caps.

That's good enough for joint-second on the all-time appearance list with Roberto Carlos and is surely a target he has set for himself.

It certainly seem to be the case, given his response to Pele.

Neymar Tweeted back: 'Farei de tudo' - I will do everything.
