WWE threw another exciting spanner into a storyline earlier this week on Monday Night RAW when the Dogs of War imploded after taking on The Shield.

It has been speculated for quite some time now that The Hounds of Justice won't be sticking together for too long, with a Dean Ambrose heel turn still a hot talking point.

Instead, it was Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler who seemingly distanced themselves away from Braun Strowman during RAW, with the Scotsman taking The Monster Among Men down with a Claymore.

Naturally, fans are excited to see where WWE is now heading with this.

It's clear that Strowman is going to remain a main event star, but fans have also wanted McIntyre to be elevated into that same picture.

Although he's holding the RAW tag team championships alongside Dolph Ziggler, there's always been the hope that McIntyre is quickly thrown into the title picture.

Since attacking Strowman, fans have been fantasy booking potential scenarios as to which avenue the WWE could go down.

However, fans will have just about as much of an idea as WWE's writers as the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed that there's currently no end game for their storyline.

According to the source, everything McIntyre, Ziggler and Strowman have been doing since they started working together on the red brand has been booked week-to-week.

Currently, Vince McMahon and the writers reportedly don't have an end goal as to where this is all heading.

Right now, the safe assumptions would be that we see a singles match between the pair, while it's also been claimed that they could very well be back on the same page next week, taking a leaf out of the Sasha Banks and Bayley feud.

The ending we saw earlier this week when McIntyre hit Strowman with a Claymore was reportedly something that was put together for that particular show to get the fans talking - and it's clearly worked with people speculating on what the long-term plan is.

What is clear, however, is that McIntyre is being protected, falling in line with the rumours from earlier this year that both Vince and Triple H are carefully booking him to mould him into a main event star.

That was evident by the fact that he lost earlier in the show, but it was via count-out and not a pinfall.

Now fans just have to wait and see what WWE is really going with two of RAW's finest big-men.
