The Premier League returned with a bang on Saturday as Chelsea snatched a dramatic late equaliser to deny Manchester United all three points.Antonio Rudiger's header put the hosts ahead, but Man Utd replied brilliantly with two second-half Anthony Martial goals, only for Ross Barkley to make it 2-2 in the 96th-minute.One of Maurizio Sarri's assistants Marco Ianni grabbed the headlines and sparked chaos by celebrating Chelsea's leveller right in front of Jose Mourinho and the United bench. However, there was another pretty controversial moment involving Romelu Lukaku, who only played 15 matches during his three-year stint at Stamford Bridge. The Man United striker got a fair amount of stick from the home crowd, and viewers spotted his gesture towards them in the 87th-minute.

Lukaku's performance v Chelsea

Lukaku struggled to have any sort of impact in the first-half but it wasn't all his fault seeing as he was very isolated in the lone centre-forward role.

United were much-improved after the interval, and so to was Lukaku, regularly linking up with Martial, Marcus Rashford and being much more involved in the game.

Lukaku's gesture to Chelsea fans

With three minutes of normal time remaining, Man Utd were 2-1 up against Chelsea and extremely close to what would've been a massive victory.

Lukaku did well to hold up an Ashley Young clearance and, after exchanging passes with Andreas Pereira, the big Belgian won a throw-in after tussling with Marcos Alonso.

It was at this moment that a section of Chelsea supporters unloaded on Lukaku, but instead of ignoring them, the 25-year-old hit back.

Man Utd's number nine looked towards the crowd and told them to keep quiet by producing a "shushing" gesture, and plenty of people reacted to the incident on Twitter.

Fans react to Lukaku shushing the crowd

Given the fact that Lukaku's side were unable to hold on to the win, the majority of football fans are now mocking him for shushing his former club's supporters.
