Almost eight years ago, The Miz was in the WrestleMania main event, facing John Cena in-front of over 70,000 people inside the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
Just a month later, Miz would lose the WWE Championship to Cena, and to this day has not won a world title since.
Since that year he's had numerous Intercontinental Championship and Tag Team title reigns, but the big belts have always eluded him.
Fast forward to 2018 and arguably his stock has never been higher since 2011.
Overlooking the two-minute match at Super Show-Down with Daniel Bryan (and subsequent jokes on SmackDown about his manhood), some fans are starting to warm to the idea of another main event run for the A-lister.
But that's not everyones opinion, and there's arguments for him not being a top-class wrestler compared to the likes of Seth Rollins, Samoa Joe and AJ Styles which is the reason why he's still where he is.
And Miz thinks he knows why fans - and some of his peers - treat him with such contempt some of the time.
“I will never get the respect I deserve because I was on a reality show," said Miz bluntly whilst speaking to the Daily Mirror.
"Whenever you’re on a reality show, you’re the scum of the earth. You have no talent, you’re a nothing and you deserve nothing.
“So I have always had that chip on my shoulder and always will. Do I think I’ll ever get the respect I deserve? No.
"But especially now I’m on my own reality show, and I really don’t like to call it a reality show, I like to call it a docu-series because it documents when it’s like to be first-time parents in the entertainment industry.
"I like to think it’s a different type of show, but now that I have that, it puts even more ammo against me. But, maybe now, people will look at me and say ‘this guy can lead a show.’”
There would be no better time to put Miz at the top of SmackDown Live right now, in-fact he has closed the show out recently on a number of occasions since feuding with Daniel Bryan.
The fantasy booking in some WWE fans' heads is for The Miz to wrestle the WWE Championship off AJ Styles and for Bryan to triumph at the Royal Rumble - leading to a final battle between Miz and Bryan.
And boy would we love for that to happen.
