When a fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor was first suggested, fans didn’t really think it would ever happen. But happen it did, with Mayweather winning the fight in the 10th round in Las Vegas. After the fight, the unbeaten American insisted he was now retired for good by saying: ‘"Any guy that's calling me out? Forget it.”But Mayweather is nicknamed ‘Money’ for a good reason and, after earning a reported $300 million from that fight with McGregor, he wants to return to the ring.Remarkably, his next fight might also be against a UFC fighter. After Khabib Nurmagomedov beat McGregor at UFC 229 and threatened to quit the sport, he could now take on Mayweather in another cross-sport fight. In fact, the odds have already been released for the potential fight.Bookmakers Paddy Power have released their odds and have ranked Mayweather as 1/25 favourite, with Khabib rated as having a 17/2 chance. Meanwhile, the draw is 50/1.So, if you put £25 on Mayweather on win, you will win just £1.And Mayweather has reacted to Paddy Power’s odds.He tweeted: “Damn @PaddyPower already got me as a 25-1 favorite over Khabib.”

Of course, he means 1/25 but it seems not even he can believe how easily they expect him to beat ‘The Eagle’.

But is the fight actually going to happen?

Well the latest comments from Khabib’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, seems to suggest they are more than open to the idea.

"I'm talking to everybody right now," Abdelaziz told ESPN.

"At the end of the day, Khabib is a UFC fighter. He has a contract with the UFC and we respect the contract - but we're open, if Floyd wants to box Khabib.

"You have a guy who is 50-0, a guy who is 27-0. Both have never tasted defeat. Khabib brings 2.5 billion Muslims around the world, some of the richest countries in the world, and they're behind him.

“Floyd Mayweather is a megastar. Floyd 'Money' Mayweather. If the two forces clash, that's a real fight."
