Prior to Braun Strowman's clash with Roman Reigns at Hell in a Cell, the Monster Among Men might have been the hottest babyface in the company. He was certainly rivaling the likes of Seth Rollins and in a year where he had won the Greatest Royal Rumble Ever and secured the Money in the Bank contract, it seemed like the next logical step was for Strowman to win the world title. Then, Strowman found his route to the Universal title blocked by The Shield as they looked to protect Reigns at all costs. In a bid to fight fire with fire, Strowman teamed up with Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre and while they have secured the tag team titles, Strowman remains without the gold. After taking on the Shield in six-man competition three times now - and on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline - the Dogs of War are seemingly running their course. At the climax of Raw last week, McIntyre inadvertently hit Strowman with a claymore kick. Following their loss, Strowman hit Ziggler with the running powerslam and then, McIntyre hit Strowman with a claymore kick he meant.Whether they can regroup or not remains to be seen, but according to live event footage from Boston last night, that doesn't appear to be on the cards.

As you can see from the video above, Ziggler and McIntyre are battling Rollins and Ambrose and Strowman hits the ring, but not to support his teammates, instead, he attacks Ziggler.

This leaves McIntyre alone to catch a beat down and it seems as though he will officially cut ties with McIntyre and Ziggler on Monday.

Reverting Strowman back to the powerful face that he was is smart business from a WWE perspective. He was wildly popular with the audience and he's on the kind of ascension where people don't want to boo him.

Will this new change of character result in his first world title win? The fans are ready for it.
