Arsenal were at their brilliant best in the second half as they came from behind to beat Leicester City 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium. An own goal from Hector Bellerin in the 31st minute gave Leicester the lead but Mesut Ozil inspired a terrific comeback. The German equalised with a fine finish on the stroke of half-time before producing a second-half performance that will live long in the memory. He took four Leicester players out of the game with an exquisite pass to Bellerin, who teed up Pierre-Emerick Aubamayeng to give Arsenal the lead.Ozil was then at the heart of Aubameyang’s second goal, eventually teeing up the Gabon international to seal all three points.Leicester were helpless to prevent Unai Emery’s side making it 10 wins in a row.Going forward, they are just a nightmare to play against.

German journalist tweets about Ozil

Ozil showed Germany exactly what they're missing following the difficult events of the summer.

The 30-year-old announced his retirement from the national team in July, citing 'racism and disrespect' as the reasons for his decision.

It led to a pretty shameful reaction from some important people in German football, who refused to accept that racism could occur within the national side.

He was slammed by Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness, who said: "I'm glad it is over. He's been playing dirt for years.

"He last won a tackle before the 2014 World Cup."

This is the same Ozil who has been named the German national team Player of the Year, including in 2015 and 2016.

German sports journalist Marc Siekmann tweeted after watching Ozil against Leicester, and he got it bang on.

"But Ozil plays only dirt... madness, what he shows today!," Siekmann, who works for Bild, wrote.

"Finally the 'old' Arsenal! Come on you Gunners!"

Well put, Marc.

There's no denying that Germany, who have won just one competitive match in 2018, could do with a player of Ozil's quality.

Arsenal were much more solid in defence after the restart, with Lucas Torreira playing a crucial role in that.

The Uruguayan completed 13 ball recoveries as his fine start to life as an Arsenal player continued.

The defeat to Arsenal leaves the Foxes in 11th place following back-to-back losses.

Thankfully they won’t have to come up against Arsenal’s devastating attack anytime soon.
