Anthony Joshua's fight promoter Eddie Hearn has set Deontay Wilder a target that he will need to reach if he is to get a 50-50 cut in a potential showdown between the two heavyweight boxers next year.Wilder must first beat Tyson Fury on December 1 in Los Angeles to be able to fight Joshua after initial talks between the two camps collapsed earlier in the year, but that hasn't stopped the American setting the unified heavyweight world champion in his sights. And talk has already begun on targets the American needs to reach against Fury in order to get his fair share of prize money against the Englishman.Wilder has insisted time and time again that he would not accept a fight purse in Joshua's favour, so Hearn has had his say on the matter."I saw Wilder came out and say he wants 60-40 if he beats Fury," he said, per The Metro."It frustrates me that people are actually thick enough to think he wants this fight when he comes out with comments like that.""At the moment I think a split of 65-35 in AJ’s favour is fair.""Nobody knows who Deontay Wilder is. But if his fight with Tyson Fury does a million buys plus then he can have 50-50."

"But if he does under 300,000 buys he should have taken 80-20."

So Hearn has set his targets for Wilder - one million or more PPV buys and he can have his fair share of the split, anything less and he would be lucky.

Hearn is doing his best to ramp up the fighting talk, suggesting AJ is the star of the show and therefore should get a bigger payday.

Wilder is yet to respond to these demands, and it is unlikely he will agree to them as it has become very clear the American is expecting a much bigger share.

Both men seem set in their ways that they deserve a bigger cut, so this saga could run on for a while yet and, of course, Wilder still needs to see his way past Fury first if he wants the fight in April next year to go ahead.
