This week's Monday Night Raw was an emotional one from start to finish.

Of course, news of Roman Reigns' battle with Leukemia and his need to step away from the WWE has dominated the headlines, and rightly so.

However, after the Big Dog relinquished the Universal title, there was plenty of developments to chew on during the rest of the show.

In the main event, we would see The Shield win the Raw Tag Team titles, but in a stunning turn of events, Dean Ambrose would finally turn heel and brutally attack Seth Rollins.

It was safe to say after the emotional night with Reigns and having just won the tag team titles, nobody saw it coming.

But Ambrose wasn't the only superstar to have a change of character. In the main event, fans will have noticed that Braun Strowman made his way to the ring to avenge the attack he suffered earlier at the hands of Drew McIntyre.

The way he has departed the Dogs of War and the promo he cut to Paul Heyman, it's very clear that Strowman will be taking on a babyface role from now on. The foreshadowing for this came at a live event in Boston on Sunday night.

Elsewhere, Elias was interrupted once again on Raw and in the subsequent match, he defeated Apollo Crews. However, when he attempted to play for the crowd once again after the commercial break, acting general manager Baron Corbin made his way to the ring.

After forcing Elias off the stage, the former Drifter returned to smash his guitar over Corbin's back, seemingly making him a good guy in the process.

To be fair, both decisions are kind of no-brainers. The fans have wanted to cheer for both men for a long time, so let them? It seems the logical choice and Strowman doesn't have to change a single thing.

For Elias, he can simply aim his trash talk at the superstars he is facing instead of the towns he is visiting. He's more than capable of adding a subtle nuance to his character, and it's something he has done to babyfaces in the past anyway.

If one thing is clear from Roman Reigns' illness, it's that the WWE has reallinged its roster as a result. It will be interesting to see how these changes play out.
