Khabib Nurmagomedov's victory over Conor McGregor in Las Vegas will go down as one of the biggest nights in the history of combat sport.

The Dagestan brawler submitted McGregor in the fourth-round, retaining his UFC lightweight belt.

It was the biggest night in the history of the promotion, but the headlines were made for all the wrong reasons.

Khabib leaped over the Octagon to attack McGregor's teammate Dillon Danis and a full-scale stadium riot was nearly started.

McGregor was also attacked in the cage by Khabib's team but thankfully, the situation was defused and no one was seriously hurt.

In the two weeks since, the headlines have been coming thick and fast.

And McGregor decided to speak very openly about the fight for the first time on Tuesday, uploading his own analysis of the fight on the Instagram.

You can read the Notorious' thoughts below.

As expected, the post has divided UFC fans.

Some believe he's being humble about his failings in the fight, others say he's refusing to address how dominant Khabib was.

The UFC reposted McGregor's analysis on their official Instagram account and eagle-eyed fans spotted Khabib's reply.

Twitter user @TomTayMMA uploaded a photo showing Khabib replying to the post with three simple words: "It's just business."

It may only be three words, but they have a lot of significance.

Shortly after the fight, microphones around the cage revealed McGregor saying "it's just business" to Khabib in the third-round.

It appeared the Notorious was trying to explain his trash-talking in the build-up to the fight, which was way over the line.

Both fighters are still waiting to see if they will receive punishments from the Nevada Athletic Commission for their roles in the UFC 229 brawl.
