Arsenal fans are loving life right now.The Gunners have won 10 matches on the bounce and are playing the sort of football under Unai Emery that became synonymous with the north London club under Arsene Wenger. But, unlike in Wenger’s final seasons in charge, Emery’s side appears better equipped to deal with adversity.Take Monday’s 3-1 win against Leicester City, for example. Arsenal struggled early on and fell a goal behind. They didn’t panic, though, and equalised before half-time before adding two goals in the second half.Mesut Ozil took all the plaudits, and rightly so, but Hector Bellerin also played a big role in Arsenal’s comeback win.The right-back provided two assists and earned praise for his performance from club legend Ian Wright.

Wright responds to Bellerin criticism

“Hector! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Absolutely brilliant tonight,” Wright tweeted.

Arsenal fans responded to the tweet and while some were positive about Bellerin’s display, others questioned his defending.

The 23-year-old scored an own goal after being beaten by Leicester’s Ben Chilwell rather easily in the first half.

But Wright wasn’t having any of it.

In response to his original tweet, he wrote on Tuesday: “I put this out yesterday and today I’m reading Arsenal fans telling me about his defending! One word, F***off. 😡”.

That’s two words, Ian. But we get what you mean.

When an Arsenal supporter said Bellerin has enjoyed a brilliant season, Wright responded by suggesting he’s getting proper coaching from Emery and his team.

Emery’s decision to bring in Stephan Lichtsteiner in the summer has clearly sparked a reaction from Bellerin.

There were once suggestions of a return to Barcelona and, while he hasn’t played to the level required to turns heads at the Camp Nou in recent seasons, he still remains a quality right-back.

And nobody has been more impressed than Wright.
