Barcelona didn’t need Lionel Messi to make it three wins out of three in the Champions League.Goals from Rafinha and Jordi Alba sealed a 2-0 win over Inter Milan as they took control of Group B.Meanwhile, Messi was seen sitting in the stands with his fractured arm in a sling alongside his son.But the Argentine would have been delighted with what he saw from his side as they all but secured a place in the last-16 of the competition. In Messi’s absence, Luis Suarez flourished. It was his sublime assist for Rafinha that saw Barca take the lead just after the half-hour mark. And Suarez also stepped up to the plate when it came to set-pieces.The Uruguayan went close on a couple of occasions and, if it wasn’t for Marcelo Brozovic’s quick-thinking, may have scored one.In the second-half, Suarez sized up a 20-yard free-kick and attempted to cheekily roll the ball under the wall. But Brozovic seemingly read his mind and threw himself on the ground to block the ball.It worked a treat as it struck his back and bounced over for a corner.Suarez was probably frustrated but Messi? Well, he appeared to love Brozovic’s defending.Just check out his reaction:

Beautiful.

Messi may not have reacted like that if Barca weren’t already 2-0 up mind.

Whether Messi will be laughing this weekend remains to be seen.

Barca host Real Madrid in El Clasico on Sunday afternoon and the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will have to watch from the stands once again.
