Romelu Lukaku is really struggling at the moment. The Belgian forward scored 27 times in his first campaign at Manchester United but has failed to replicate that during his second season.Lukaku has only scored four times so far this season and has failed to hit the back of the net in his last eight appearances for Man United. His performances has led to widespread criticism, with Paul Ince just one of many that have voiced their concern of his form."When you’re at United, you must perform at a seven or eight out of 10 every week. I’m not sure he has the ability to do that. He should be the focal point of the team," he told Paddy Power News, per the Mirror."He’s 25 years old now, he’s not going to change. The Lukaku you have now is the Lukaku you’re always going to have, that’s what you’ve got to work with."It’s obvious that he needs help. There’s no doubt that he can score goals, you can see it from his record. But playing for United is about more than just that."He constantly loses the ball, throughout every game."Lukaku has been an ever-present for Jose Mourinho when he is available but United fans are beginning to lose patience with the 25-year-old.Many have called on Lukaku to be dropped as his struggles continue in front of goal. And it seems as if they will get their wish soon. The Sun have reported that Lukaku is facing the axe with Marcus Rashford set to get a run up front for Manchester United. But it seems that United fans still aren't overly happy. While many are relieved by the reports that Lukaku is being benched, many are not content by the man replacing him.Instead, a vast majority of United fans have argued that Sanchez should be starting instead of the young Englishman.

That could well be the better option.

Sanchez has been out of sorts since signing for Manchester United last January.

But he has been largely deployed on the wing.

In his final few seasons at Arsenal, Sanchez was largely played as a central striker.

And he performed well; managing to score 24 Premier League goals in the 2016/17 season.

Mourinho has tried nearly everything to get the best out of Sanchez, apart from playing him in a central role.

It may be worth having Sanchez replace Lukaku, with Rashford and Martial either side of him.
