After a four-year hiatus, Rey Mysterio returned to the WWE full-time at SmackDown Live 1000.

The legendary high-flyer has wasted no time settling back into the Blue Brand with wins over United States champion Shinsuke Nakamura and The Miz since his return.

The 43-year-old's first port of call in the WWE is to compete in the WWE World Cup at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia next week to earn the title of 'best in the world'.

While that's quite possibly gimmick infringement on Chris Jericho's and certain CM Punk's part, the WWE is moving full steam ahead with Crown Jewel and their version of a World Cup, even though John Cena is rumoured to be pulling out of the show.

Speaking of Jericho, the WWE legend announced on Twitter this week that his Jericho cruise had sold out all of their cabins.

The cruise will contain wrestlers from Impact wrestling, Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling with a Sea of Honor tournament taking place, as well as a ''one-time only' six-man match between Chris Jericho and The Young Bucks versus Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes and Marty Scurll.

One man that will be featured on the cruise is Mysterio himself.

It was reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE was trying to convince Mysterio not to go on the cruise this weekend. He is not booked on any WWE live events this weekend because of the cruise.

With Jericho speaking out against the WWE going to Saudi Arabia - well, the country at least - and his known dealing with Don Callis and Impact Wrestling, in addition to his current reign as IWGP Intercontinental champion, it's not too far-fetched to imagine the WWE aren't overly enamoured with Y2J right now.

You could say it's the WWE's right to ask Mysterio to work their shows while he is under contract with them, but Vince McMahon and co. are quite famous for letting superstars they sign work dates they have already committed to.

Drew McIntyre told GiveMeSporrt that personally, as did Matt Hardy. So it would seem strange that out of nowhere, they don't want Mysterio working on Jericho's cruise.

Is Vince McMahon worried about the buzz Jericho is creating?
