Things are looking up at Arsenal right now.

Unai Emery’s side may have lost their opening two games of the season - to Manchester City and Chelsea - but have since won 11 in a row.

It’s been a brilliant start for Emery.

It’s also been a brilliant start for summer signing Lucas Torreira.

The Uruguayan had to settle for a place on the bench in the early weeks but is now a regular in Arsenal’s starting line-up.

And he’s instantly become a fan favourite.

But why do Arsenal fans love him so much?

Well, a tactical analysis has emerged explaining just why Torreira is vital for the Gunners.

The video features clips of Torreira playing for Sampdoria, Arsenal and Uruguay and breaks down the type of player he is.

It shows the position he takes up in front of the back four and just how clever he is with and without the ball.

He's just the player Arsenal needed.

Take a look:

Not only is Torreira playing well, but he’s also improved the performances of his teammates

“Lucas gives us good balance in the team between offence and defence,” Granit Xhaka said.

“He lets me play my game with the ball and go a bit more in front. I am happy with him.

“You can see that he’s important for us because he’s strong in defence and in duels. He can play easily from side to side and going forward, he helps with our balance.”
