Despite what the majority of fans might think about Triple H, it's evident that he carved out a Hall of Fame-worthy career in WWE long before he started to don the suit.

It seems like fans have warmed up to him a lot more, however, primarily because of the rise of NXT and how he's more willing to create opportunities.

POTENTIAL

Perhaps that's why some are hopeful that he replaces Vince McMahon once the boss steps aside.

Although it's clear that he's achieved a great deal in WWE, Vince initially thought his run was going to be very different.

In fact, there was a time when Vince believed that The Game would only become a mid-card superstar - a B+ player, if you will.

When discussing Triple H's early career, former WWE producer Bruce Prichard revealed on his Something to Wrestle podcast that Vince only thought he was going to be a mid-card star and also despised his hair, adamant that he'd get him to cut it off one day.

MID-CARDER

According to Ringside News, he said: "I'll never forget when Triple H started and different things were happening and people would suggest new guys to try something new with.

"And Vince would always say: ‘You know what? He’s a mid-carder at best. That’s as high as you’re going to get with him.’ And there’s always a caveat, ‘if he doesn’t change, if he doesn’t grow up, if he doesn’t make some changes to what he’s doing.'

“Interestingly enough one of the things that always drove Vince nuts was the hair. Vince always used to talk about, ‘I’m going to get that hair one day.’

"We’d always come up with ideas to get Triple H in a hair match and shave his head and he fought it every chance that he had he would never do it — wasn’t interested in it. And Vince said, ‘I’m going to get me that hair one day.'

“Then he did but we didn’t get to shave it on TV or anything — he just went and got it chopped off one day.”

Triple H went on to prove Vince wrong, winning multiple world championships and thankfully, creative saw enough potential in him to actually make Monday Night RAW revolve around him for many years.
