The third round of the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai saw Tommy Fleetwood two under after 13 holes and two behind Justin Rose at Sheshan International. This was before he ran into trouble at the par-five 14th, putting his third shot into a water hazard.Forced to take a penalty drop, Fleetwood's caddie Ian Finnis got ready to stop the ball rolling back into the water, but despite being ready and in place, watched this slip right through his fingers and back on into the wet stuff.Finnis will be shame faced at dinner tonight, and not just because of how embarrassing the blunder was. It's made worse because his wife is Rachel Brown-Finnis, a former England and Everton goalkeeper, who will remain under no illusion as to her husband’s sloppy mistake. The European Tour Twitter account posted: "Oh Fino! Back to the training ground, right @rach_brown1?"The mood remained light as Fleetwood and Innis returned to the bag to retrieve another ball, but tensions would again mount as 27-year-old Fleetwood pitched onto the green to three-putt, slipping at the top of the leaderboard.Going into the final day, the Englishman’s position nevertheless holds promise. The young veteran already has four tour triumphs behind him and is now tied fifth behind present leader American Tony Finau.Watch the embarrassing blunder for the caddie below.

Finau faltered throughout Saturday, needing a robust finish to propel him through to the final round and, more than compensated, closed with three straight birdies for a 2-under 70 to keep his three-shot lead.

Englishman Justin Rose remains three shots behind Finau, playing the final two holes in five more shots than Finau, to stand joint second with Xander Schauffele and Patrick Reed.

Thirty-eight year old Rose turned in 33 to enable a one-shot lead, but dropped three shots on the final two holes, affecting any potential win and a return to higher world rankings.

Rory McIlroy’s difficulties persist with a 75 and the four-time major champion being tied for 60th on eight over.
