WWE Evolution was an absolutely wild ride from start to finish, with fans inside the Nassau Coliseum treated to a fun night of action. Many legends returned, and we saw a huge main event between Ronda Rousey and Nikki Bella. But the true highlight of the night was the Last Woman Standing match between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women's Championship. The two's rivalry exploded at SummerSlam, with Lynch turning on her 'best friend' Charlotte after she won the title in a triple threat match, but the Lasskicker claimed the belt at Hell In A Cell a month later.Lynch has put the gold on the line twice since against Flair, ending with disqualification and count-out finishes, so a first time ever for the main roster was revealed - a Last Woman Standing match. And the pair certainly didn't hold back in their actions, assaulting each other with chairs and kendo sticks throughout the match.Lynch even scaled a ladder at one point, sending Flair crashing through the announce table with a legdrop.Flair kept recovering from every attack though, almost zombie-like, but the match came to a definitive close as Lynch lay prone on a table outside the ring as Charlotte took to the top rope.It backfired though, as Lynch recovered and sent Flair crashing through to retain her championship as she couldn't make Mike Chioda's count. You can watch that match-ending moment right here.

Despite the company positioning Lynch as the heel in the feud, even going as far as piping in boos to promo packages, the live audience could not help but explode with delight for the Irish delight.

It was probably a combination of the exciting climax and their sheer appreciation for Lynch's work, but there's not been a reaction like it for some time.

And fans on Twitter were equally as excited at Lynch keeping hold of the title.
