Tiémoué Bakayoko has not had the best few years.
The French midfielder played a major role as Monaco won the Ligue 1 title in 2017 but his career has gone downhill ever since.
Bakayoko was extremely poor in his debut season for Chelsea and was consequently sent on loan to AC Milan for this campaign.
The 24-year-old has been widely criticised for his performances in Italy.
Even Gennaro Gattuso, Bakayoko's manager in Milan, has spoken negatively about him in the past.
The Italian manager admitted he had 'defects' back in August and a few weeks ago stated he was struggling at the club.
“Bakayoko needs to be helped, as he is struggling,” confirmed Gattuso per Football Italia.
“The tactics haven’t been drilled into his head yet and evidently it’s my fault, we need to do more work with him in training.
“He has been here for two months and we haven’t yet been able to get him to understand the movements. It is our duty to improve him as a player, because he does have a lot of quality and we’re not finding that yet.”
Despite Bakayoko's struggles, he started for AC Milan in their Serie A fixture against Genoa on Wednesday.
But it's fair to say that the Chelsea loanee did not impress. In fact, he had a bit of a nightmare.
Bakayoko gifted the visitors a goal with an insanely silly back pass 11 minutes into the second half.
Matteo Bonetti, commentator and analyst for ESPN, even commented that it was a moment 'unlike any I've ever seen'.
Bakayoko then had a chance to make amends after being presented with a good opportunity on the edge of the box.
But, with the ball bouncing back invitingly to him, Bakayoko completely sliced his shot high and wide.
It's fair to say it wasn't his best night in a Milan shirt.
Both videos of Bakayoko's fails are being shared on Twitter, with many laughing at his woes on the night.
Fortunately for Bakayoko, Milan were able to overcome Genoa 2-1, with Alessio Romagnoli scoring the winner in extra time.
