Scottish football’s popularity has been boosted this season following Steven Gerrard’s appointment at Rangers.The Gers suddenly look competitive again, while the teams around them in the Scottish Premier League have also improved.Meanwhile, Celtic, who have won the last seven Scottish Premier League titles, have endured a surprisingly poor start to the season and are *not* currently top of the league table. This has also made the league more intriguing.The current league-leaders are Hears, who drew 0-0 against Hibernian at Tynecastle on Wednesday night.There were chaotic scenes at the end of the Edinburgh derby as Hibs boss Neil Lennon was struck by a coin and Hearts goalkeeper Zdenek Zlamal was hit by an opposition fan."My jaw is throbbing. I'm very, very angry. I'm fizzing about it,” Lennon was quoted as saying by the Mirror following the incident, which left him on the ground in agony."I believe Zlamal was hit as well. It's just ridiculous. We don't defend that behaviour from our supporters as well. Hopefully both individuals will be singled out."I'm alright. They must have a few quid up here because it was a pound coin."But it's no laughing matter, I hope somebody deals with it and I'd like to meet the guy face to face."It's all disgraceful. The players are doing their job and trying to entertain people, I don't understand the mentality of any supporter who wants to throw things at people.
