It seems surprising that Floyd Mayweather and UFC president Dana White seem to have a good relationship.

Mayweather and UFC head honcho White have shown they are are capable of putting aside any potential rivalry between their two sports as they worked together for the biggest fight in boxing history.

Mayweather took on White’s prized possession in August 2017 as ‘Money’ and UFC superstar Conor McGregor met in a fight that generated an estimated $400 million.

As Mayweather halted McGregor in 10 rounds, questions remained whether another money grabbing crossover fight between a boxer and MMA fighter would materialise again.

And if you believe the five-weight boxing world champion Mayweather, now aged 41, there will be another fight involving himself and a UFC fighter.

This time with UFC lightweight world champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, who like Mayweather also owns a win over McGregor after he submitted the Irishman in October - and after that fight, the biggest in MMA history, the undefeated Russian called out the also unbeaten American boxer.

Mayweather seemingly accepted, and teased a fight between himself and Nurmagomedov will happen - but White isn’t so sure, nor is he keen on the bout.

White discusses his meeting with Mayweather

However, Dana White revealed on ESPN 'Get Up' that he had met with Floyd Mayweather on Wednesday in Los Angeles, but reiterated he isn’t interested in another boxing match against the 50-0 pugilist.

"If he wants to do it again, then he has to fight in UFC," White said.

“I don't think it's very realistic at all. We had talks yesterday, I don't think [a UFC match] is going to happen, but they didn't say no.

"There's a reason Floyd Mayweather wants to fight my guys, there's big money in there for him. If Floyd wants to come over here and fight in the UFC, he's more than welcome.

"(Nurmagomedov) cannot [box Mayweather] (but) obviously, if this was something that Khabib wanted to do, we will sit down and talk about it but I don't like anything about it."

With the success and revenue Mayweather v McGregor generated, it doesn’t seem unlikely that White will be willing to work on a crossover fight again.

But, with White insisting he doesn’t want Nurmagomedov to box Mayweather, how likely are we to this fight?
