Seth Rollins names the three NXT stars that could be a huge deal on the main roster

For anyone that watches all of WWE's weekly content, it's not even up for debate that NXT is the hottest brand right now.

You could probably state a case for it being the best in the last few years - it's had lulls at certain moments during the years, but recent TakeOver specials have been better than ever.

To add to this point, Dave Meltzer has named four five-star matches in WWE this year, and all have came under the NXT banner.

Of course Meltzer's ratings are subjective, but they're always a big talking point within the wrestling community, and it's so rare for a WWE bout to achieve that perfect rating - so four in less than a year is remarkable.

Many current main roster stars have graduated from what was once just seen as a developmental system, and combining both those and wrestlers brought in from other promotions, no fewer than six superstars have held world championships in the WWE after appearing in NXT.

One man who made the step up in 2012 was Seth Rollins, who debuted alongside Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose [who didn't appear in NXT, but was a part of WWE's former developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling].

Rollins of course wrestled to a high standard years before he came to the WWE, but became the first-ever NXT Champion just a few months before he jumped up to the main roster, and he's now named three talents who could easily make the same climb and become huge stars.

Seth Rollins has named three NXT stars who he thinks could be huge deals on the main roster.

"There's a ton of guys down there with absolutely incredible potential," Rollins told Al Aribiya, via WrestlingInc.

"Shayna Baszler is one of those people who I never got a chance to watch that much, but I saw her on the Evolution show last Sunday and I was blown away. I think she's fantastic.

"I think Velveteen Dream is really good - he's got something wacky about him.

The Velveteen Dream is one of the three superstars Seth Rollins named as to who could be a big star on the main roster.

"I've always been a fan of Ricochet. I've known him since he was a 17-year-old kid. I've always thought the world of him and I'm looking forward to seeing what he does in the future."

Whilst also giving props to the talented foursome The Undisputed Era, led by Adam Cole, it's interesting - but not surprising - to see the choices he's made.

Ronda Rousey's Four Horsewomen cohort Shayna Baszler has also been name-dropped by Rollins.

Baszler at 38 years of age needs the step up sooner than later, maybe to be an ally for her fellow Horsewoman Ronda Rousey on the Raw brand.

Ricochet's high-flying offense would work wonders on the main roster, but Velveteen Dream definitely has the most scope, and other stars have subjected the former Tough Enough competitor for praise in the past.
