Ronda Rousey has named her dream match in WWE - it's a current Raw superstar

Ronda Rousey.

No-one has climbed faster to the top of WWE than Ronda Rousey has.

Only making her in-ring debut in April of this year, it took the UFC Hall of Famer just four months to capture the Raw Women's Championship from Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam.

She's already made two successful defences, against Bliss and Nikki Bella, and currently looks unstoppable.

Nia Jax looks set to be her next challenger after Survivor Series, where she will take on Becky Lynch in a Raw versus SmackDown, champion versus champion bout.

It will really test Rousey's mettle against a top-level athlete, as Lynch is probably the best superstar she will have been in the ring with since her debut.

Rousey was this week named as the number one female wrestler in the world by Pro Wrestling Illustrated, an accolade that can be backed up by her trailblazing success so far in the squared circle.

When pressed on her dream opponent in WWE by the magazine, Rousey didn't mention the likes of Lita and Trish Stratus of the past, and picked one of the present.

“I would really love to wrestle Sasha Banks," stated Rousey to PWI, via Cageside Seats.

Ronda Rousey has named her dream opponent in WWE - it's Sasha Banks.

"I’ve been so impressed watching her work and being able to see her from the back and see her work and I was already a fan of her before. I think we’d be able to make something great together."

Rousey is skeptical on her own ability when it comes to potentially stepping into the ring with The Boss though.

"I think she’s given a lot of women their best matches ever, but I almost feel like I’m not at the right level yet for her, you know?" Rousey continued.

"I really think we could make something really special and really great, but I don’t know if I’m at the level that’s ready for that yet and I don’t know what the company - if they would ever like that, but in a perfect world, I would definitely love that, for sure.”

Sasha Banks and Rousey haven't met in the ring yet, but when they do, expect fireworks.

Some lovely respect to Banks by Rousey, but considering Becky Lynch is probably the same level of performer as Banks, does this mean she doesn't rate her as high as Banks, or the WWE is pushing her to face a level of competitor she doesn't feel ready for yet?

It will be interesting to see if Ronda meshes well with the Lasskicker, but sooner rather than later we are going to see the Rowdy one against The Boss.
