Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier have had one the most fierce UFC rivalries of all time, with title bouts and pre-fight brawls surrounding the pair.

Jones defeated Cormier in their first fight at UFC 182 via unanimous decision - the two had brawled in pre-fight press conference leading up to the contest.

Two and a half years later Jones would go on to knockout Cormier in their rematch and he picked up the UFC light-heavyweight world title he had previously been stripped of.

However, Jones would have this win overturned to a no-contest after he failed a USADA drug test for Turinabol, an anabolic steroid - something Jones’ team believe was a tainted supplement.

Although Jones failed the test, he himself and Cormier have accepted the original result was the right decision, as ‘Bones’ proclaimed his innocence.

Jones returns to the octagon on December 3, at UFC 232 where he meets Alexander Gustafsson for the light-heavyweight title - and Bones spoke in a press-conference and said he wouldn’t grant Cormier a third fight if he wins the belt.

Cormier responds to Jones' claim he won't fight him again

Cormier responded to Jones’ claim in the UFC 230 press-conference and expressed his anger towards his rivals comments.

"Giving me a shot?” Cormier asked.

“Seriously – giving me a shot? Here’s the deal when it comes to Jones - it’s hard for me to really take anything seriously because you say, ‘I don’t want to give you a shot,’ and ‘You don’t deserve it. I beat you.’

“He said he knocked me out, which he did, and you guys know I’ve always said he won the fight. He once put like a video up of a little girl kicking a girl in the head. I said, ‘Look, man – she set that kick up perfect. But you were on steroids, dog. You can’t use that.’ It’s the same thing.

“I’m sure USADA said, whatever, but you still had steroids in your system. It does not matter. You can’t be on steroids in no way, shape or form. That’s not fair.

“For him to say, ‘I don’t think he deserves a title shot,’ or, ‘I’m not going to grant him’ – who are you to grant me anything?

“I’m the guy that’s been here this whole time. Three years I’ve been the light heavyweight champion because this dude can’t stay out of trouble.”

Cormier currently holds the heavyweight title and light-heavyweight strap that Jones competes for at UFC 232.

DC has previously stated he is targeting retirement in March when he turns 40 - and his rumoured next fight is with former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, who is eligible to fight again in January after his USADA suspension finishes.

If Cormier is honest in his scheduled March retirement date, a third meeting with Jones may never happen - although a chance for redemption maybe too much to turn down for DC.
