Liverpool have a got a lot of work left to do in the Champions League this season.

Jurgen Klopp's side were placed in one of the hardest groups possible, with Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli and Red Star Belgrade joining them.

Going into match day four, the Reds had six points to their name and will go into match day five with the same tally.

That's because Red Star pulled off an almighty shock in Serbia, beating Klopp's side 2-0 in the capital.

Milan Pavkov scored twice in the first-half to seal one of the club's finest ever victories.

Not a single Liverpool player can leave Serbia with their head held high after a truly woeful performance.

Adam Lallana, James Milner and Gini Wijnaldum were bereft of ideas in midfield, while Joel Matip was a nightmare at the back in the first-half.

And Liverpool's forward line failed to click once again, with Daniel Sturridge hauled off at half-time.

Mohamed Salah is still yet to find a level of consistency anywhere near last season, while Sadio Mane is still flattering to deceive at times.

It's all going a bit wrong for Klopp's side and one Liverpool fan perfect summed up all the issues from the game in one tweet.

It does appear to be time for Liverpool fans to be slightly concerned about their team.

The Reds may be second in the Premier League table, but they have won just three of their last nine games in all competitions.

Those victories came against Huddersfield, Cardiff and Red Star when they visited Anfield two weeks ago.

Klopp's side are out of the Carabao Cup and are not playing the attractive attacking football they were last season.

Not to mention the likes of Lallana, Matip and Sturridge failing to provide adequate squad depth at times when they're needed most.
