It was a disastrous night for Liverpool in the Champions League.Jurgen Klopp's side were beaten 2-0 by Red Star Belgrade, inflicting a serious blow on their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages. It was Red Star's first win in Europe's elite competition since 1992.Liverpool, who are set to face Napoli and PSG in their final two group games, had beaten the Serbian club 4-0 at Anfield two weeks ago.“For us it was not clicking, it was not easy. We never came back into situations," said Klopp after the disappointing performance.“I saw a few games like this already and it is really difficult to find your mojo back."Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah endured a frustrating night at the Rajko Mitic stadium.

Salah's tragic corner

Liverpool, desperate to get back into the game, were trailing 2-0 when they won a corner in the 63rd minute.

Salah elected to try and score directly from the corner but kicked the ball straight out of play.

Liverpool fans on social media were absolutely fuming.

Salah had Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez to aim at but elected to try and beat the goalkeeper himself.

You can understand their frustration.

Salah scored directly from a corner for Egypt against eSwatini - formerly known as Swaziland - in October.

But he'll be a brave man if he attempts it again in a Liverpool shirt.

The Reds have a great chance to return to winning ways when they host struggling Fulham on Sunday lunchtime.

"We have a long flight home, a long time to think, and then Sunday Fulham are waiting," Klopp told BT Sport.

"They saw the game probably and will be thinking 'okay, this team has weaknesses'.

"So we have to not show them anymore on Sunday."
