Kylian Mbappe is the hottest property in football right now.

The French teenager is seen as the heir to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo's throne after excelling for Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain and France.

He was sensational at the World Cup and has taken that breath-taking form into the new domestic season.

In eight Ligue 1 games, he's managed 11 goals and four assists, making the £166m PSG forked out for him looking well worth it right now.

Not for a long time has there been such a buzz about a 19-year-old footballer.

However, a new report from Der Spiegel's infamous 'Football Leaks' suggests that Mbappe has been believing his own hype for some time now.

Back in the summer of 2017, the German sports paper report that Mbappe was considering a move to Real Madrid, before his father, Wilfred, convinced him to move back to Paris.

They both then convinced PSG to pay Mbappe €50m over his five-year contract, with a €5m signing-on bonus, making the then 18-year-old one of France's highest-paid players.

But Football Leaks have also revealed the four astonishing clauses Mbappe and his father requested that were actually rejected by PSG.

MBAPPE'S EXPENSIVE REQUESTS

  • If Mbappe were to win the Ballon d'Or, he would automatically become the highest-paid player at the club ahead of Neymar.
  • The Ligue 1 side were to make a private jet available to him for 50 hours per year.
  • They wanted monetary compensation if PSG received severe punishments for breaching Financial Fair Play rules, such as exclusion from the Champions League.
  • His father to be present at all training sessions and for him to have additional sessions with just his son at PSG's training ground.

Request number three about FFP rules looks very suspicious given other reports from Football Leaks.

It will be interesting to see how PSG and Mbappe respond to these reports.
