There are now just a few weeks to go before one of the biggest fights of 2018 takes place.

Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury will go head-to-head for the WBC heavyweight title in Los Angeles on December 1 - and it could be a classic.

Both fighters are supremely confident of victory heading into the bout, although it’s the unbeaten Wilder who goes into the fight as the narrow favourite.

This is Fury’s first serious test since making a comeback following two-and-a-half years out of the sport.

The 30-year-old has defeated Sefer Seferi and Francesco Pianeta in the past five months, but Wilder represents a significantly tougher challenge.

Like Fury, Wilder is undefeated. He won the WBC heavyweight title against Bermane Stiverne in January 2015 and has retained it ever since. Fury will become the eighth opponent to try and take it away from the Bronze Bomber.

“I’m feeling wonderful. My mindset has changed, my body has changed, I feel like a killer. I’m transformed into a killer,” Wilder told reporters this week.

“When it’s time for fighting and I’m risking my life, I turn into the Bronze Bomber. When I’m in the ring it’s a different thing than when I’m just Deontay Wilder.

“Nothing at all that concerns me or scares me [about Fury]. I’m the best in the world.”

Fury, however, believes he wins the fight as long as he avoids Wilder’s biggest weapon: that devastating punch power that he’s unleashed on countless occasions in the past.

The British fighter might be even more confident of victory when he watches this latest footage of Wilder hitting the pads.

“How will Deontay Wilder land one of his trademark windmills on Tyson Fury when he struggles to even hit the pads!!??” asks @EditinKing Boxing.

The footage of Wilder looking rather unconvincing has sparked a big reaction from boxing fans in the replies.

They’re now worried for Wilder and feel more convinced that Fury will become heavyweight champion of the world at the start of next month.

Similar things are being said over on YouTube, where you can watch a longer version of Wilder on the pads.

Here’s a selection of some of the best reactions to the video…

Boxing Enthusiast: "Fury is taking him to school 100%. If he couldn’t knock out Stiverne the first time & a weak Ortiz with bad blood pressure on medication he won’t lay a glove on Fury"

Leonardt Ipumbu: "Wilder's tactics and skills sucks. Fury will humiliate him big time simply because of his skills and talent. It will be a miracle for Wilder to knock down Fury.. We can bet on that."

Paul Laws: He really has no boxing skill, fighting yes boxing no, and you can see that left hook coming from Brazil, if Fury is anywhere near fully fit it's gonna be a long frustrating and embarrassing night for Wilder."
