Cristiano Ronaldo couldn’t mark his return to Old Trafford with a goal a fortnight ago as Juventus beat Manchester United 1-0.

But when United made the trip to Turin, Ronaldo wasn’t going to be kept quiet for a second time.

After a tight first-half, all it took was one moment of magic from the Portuguese superstar to open the deadlock.

Leonardo Bonucci played a beautiful lofted ball over the top for Ronaldo to run on to.

Any other player would have tried to take a touch before facing David de Gea.

But Ronaldo isn’t any other player.

Instead, Ronaldo decided to smash a volley with the ball coming over his shoulder.

The result?

An unstoppable finish into the corner before De Gea could even react.

What. A. Goal.

Take a look:

While everyone in the Juventus Stadium - at watching at home - was in disbelief at what they’d just witnessed, one person didn’t seem too impressed.

Cristiano Jr. was in attendance and the camera captured his immediate reaction.

And while everyone around him was going crazy, all he could do was raise a small smile as if to say “He does that all the time in the garden at home.”

It was a reaction that plenty of football fans spotted - and enjoyed:

It wasn't to be for Ronaldo and Juventus, though.

United incredibly turned the game on its head in the final few minutes.

Juan Mata curled a beautiful free-kick into the top corner to equalise in the 86th-minute.

Then, in the 90th-minute, a free-kick caused confusion leading to Alex Sandro scoring an own-goal.
