Although it was common knowledge that the heel turn was going to take place sooner rather than later, not many would have expected that Dean Ambrose would turn his back on Seth Rollins on the night Roman Reigns stepped away from the company to battle his health issues.

It was claimed that the heel turn would be taking place at around the Survivor Series event, leading perfectly to a match between the pair at WrestleMania.

HEEL TURN

It was initially thought that the original plan for WrestleMania 34 was that The Lunatic Fringe would battle The Kingslayer in one on one action, only for Ambrose to suffer an injury and scupper those plans.

Strangely enough, Ambrose and Rollins captured the RAW tag team titles ahead of the heel turn.

Since then, Ambrose has been called out by his former Shield member to provide an explanation of why the heel turn took place. Along with this, AOP dethroned Rollins to become the new tag team champions of the red brand.

With the WWE in the UK earlier this week, Leeds was the lucky venue where Ambrose finally delivered his first promo since turning heel ahead of their singles match.

Ambrose faced Rollins which was won by the latter. Before the match, Ambrose cut a promo regarding Rollins losing the RAW tag team titles to AOP.

HEEL PROMO

According to NoDQ, he said: "If you'd have just asked nicely, I might have just come out to help you.

"But no, you're too stupid and you're too selfish! You wanted to do it all by yourself, and how did that work out for you?

"Lucky for you, tonight isn't gonna be like last night, because I don't give two cents about your stupid championship. All I care about tonight is beating your ass."

While it's not quite the bizarre and twisted Ambrose the fans grew to love during his days as Jon Moxley on the independent scene; it's still a welcomed change after a long run as a popular face.

However, it was only a live event and it's only a matter of time before he turns it up a notch on Monday Night RAW.
