WWE began their build towards Survivor Series earlier this week on Monday Night Raw when they started to reveal who would be on the red brand's men's and women's teams for the show.

At the start of Raw, it was revealed that Alexa Bliss will be the red brand's captain for the women's team, but will not be competing in the actual match itself.

Bliss hasn't competed inside the ring for WWE now for a couple of weeks. She was supposed to face Trish Stratus at Evolution last month but was pulled from the event days before reportedly due to a concussion.

According to reports, however, the current situation might be a lot worse for the former Raw Women's Champion.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, via Wrestling Inc, has noted that Bliss is actually currently suffering from multiple concussions, which is why WWE hasn't cleared her to compete in the ring just yet.

Meltzer further added that WWE is very cautious with Bliss, and therefore it remains unclear as to exactly when she will be allowed to return to in-ring competition.

This helps to explain why Bliss was revealed as the captain for Team Raw at Survivor Series in a non-wrestling capacity.

It's not surprising either that WWE is being careful with this head injury, especially after most notable cases such as Daniel Bryan, and recent cases that have been under the spotlight, such as Liv Morgan.

Despite her injury, WWE is still using Bliss on almost every show as a manager, even on the road. At Evolution, she was in the corner of Alicia Fox and Mickie James in their match against Stratus and Lita. She's just not taking any bumps at the moment.

WWE fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that Little Miss Bliss returns to in-ring action very soon as she has been one of the better superstars on the women's roster in recent years.

Nevertheless, WWE is taking the right precautions by resting Bliss and making sure she's 100% before allowing her to compete in the ring again.
