Nobody could have foreseen just how badly Alexis Sanchez’s time at Manchester United would go.

Arsenal fans who watched Sanchez closely in his final few months at the Emirates Stadium will tell you about a drop in form.

But he still managed to score seven goals in the first half of the 2017-18 Premier League season.

The Chilean is now a shadow of his former self, managing to find the net just four times for the Red Devils.

The Times recently reported that Sanchez is already seeking a move away from Old Trafford.

His team have apparently explored the possibility of a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but the Independent report that the French giants have no interest in signing him.

That will come as a blow to Sanchez, who has joined up with the Chile national team for upcoming friendlies against Costa Rica and Honduras.

Sanchez's behaviour with Chile

In their report, The Times said the 29-year-old cuts a lonely figure at Man United; he’s friendly with David de Gea, Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku, but hasn’t built a close relationship with anyone else in the dressing room.

And the situation may be similar at Chile.

La Tercera have revealed Sanchez’s behaviour after a training session this week, and it seems he may be cut off from his teammates.

Sanchez often keeps himself to himself while on international duty but his behaviour stood out more than it usually does.

The Chilean publication claim that Sanchez went to sit on his own on one of the benches near the training pitches when the session ended.

He was alone for at least half hour while Cesar Pinares, Oscar Opazo, Nicolas Castillo and Lorenzo Reyes played football tennis nearby.

Eventually, Junior Fernandes, one of Sanchez’s best friends in football, approached him.

Those within the Chile camp suggest that Sanchez is viewed as a leader on the pitch, but not so much away from it.
