Wojciech Szczesny posts on Instagram after Cristiano Ronaldo helped him save Gonzalo Higuain's penalty

Cristiano Ronaldo made an impact at both ends of the pitch in Juventus’ 2-0 win against AC Milan on Sunday.

The Portuguese forward scored his ninth goal of the season to secure all three points for the Old Lady after Mario Mandzukic had given them an early lead.

Yet perhaps Ronaldo’s biggest influence on the game came when AC Milan won a penalty minutes before half-time.

The 33-year-old was seen whispering in Juve goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny’s ear just before Gonzalo Higuain took the penalty.

Ronaldo spent time with Higuain at Real Madrid and so decided to give the ‘keeper some advice.

Szczesny later revealed: “Ronaldo told me to go early, because Pipita [Higuain] tends to take powerful penalties, but then I already knew that.”

The Polish goalkeeper did exactly that and managed to tip Higuain’s effort onto the post.

Szczesny's Instagram post

Szczesny has now taken to Instagram to show Ronaldo that he’s ready to repay the favour.

The former Arsenal goalkeeper posted a clip of him scoring a superb free-kick in Poland training, claiming he’s happy to pass on some tips to Ronaldo.

“Thanks @cristiano for your help with a penalty vs Milan. I’ll be happy to repay the favour with some advice on free kicks 😂😂😂,” Szczesny wrote.

Szczesny may be hinting at Ronaldo’s disappointing free-kicks since arriving at Juventus.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner took over responsibilities from Miralem Pjanic and Paulo Dybala but with no success.

Juventus boss Max Allegri has already had to make a change, insisting that Ronaldo will only take free-kicks from long-range.

“When there are free kicks from far away, Ronaldo can kick them but we’ve decided that Dybala and Pjanic will take the set pieces close to the area,” Allegri recently said.

Ronaldo could do with a helping hand from, of all people, Szczesny.

The former Real Madrid star has been in devastating form recently, scoring nine times in 12 appearances in all competitions.
