Video of Liverpool's best counter-attacks from last year has many fans sharing an opinion

Jurgen Klopp's team isn't quite looking like it did last year.

Liverpool haven't been quite firing on full cylinders this season, which is quite the statement considering they're undefeated in the Premier League.

But that's certainly the general consensus and there are a couple of theories as to exactly why that is.

The first is that it's down to the players - either tired or out of form, there does seem to be a lack of cohesion going forward.

They are playing a season after a World Cup, after all, and before that they endured an exhausting run to the Champions League final.

Some, however, feel it's actually a decision from Jurgen Klopp to concentrate more on being solid at the back, now that they've finally got the players to do so.

It's easy to see the logic there, too, given that Liverpool have only conceded five goals from their opening 12 games in the Premier League.

Whatever the reason, Klopp's side aren't playing with the same pace and drive as last season - and that has led to some fans reminiscing about those times.

Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Roberto Firmino scored for fun last season.

A video of Liverpool's best counter-attacks from last season has been shared and it certainly does show off what they've been missing this year.

And while things aren't going badly this year, it's clear from the responses that fans would like to see a return to the style of last season.

Despite the wish to see a return of last season's football, it is important to reiterate that Liverpool currently sit undefeated in second, two points off Manchester City and despite having faced the rest of the top five already.

Klopp's football might not look quite as pretty on the eye but he does appear to have moved his team closer to the ultimate goal: trophies.

Now if he can keep them solid and get them back to attacking like last season, City may have something to really worry about.
