With Survivor Series now in the books, WWE kicked off their build-up towards TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs by booking two more matches for the event on Monday Night Raw this week.
Prior to last night's Raw, WWE had already booked two matches for the TLC event, which takes place on December 16 at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
The Mixed Match Challenge Final match will take place at the pay-per-view, as well as an Intercontinental Championship match between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose following an announcement at Survivor Series on Sunday.
On Monday night, WWE also booked two further matches at the event, and one of them has four stipulations tied to it and will likely be the main event of the show.
At the start of Raw, WWE confirmed that Braun Strowman would face Baron Corbin at the event in a TLC match with three other stipulations tied to it.
Later in the show, WWE confirmed that Nia Jax would have a match against Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women's Championship at TLC thanks to her Battle Royal win at Evolution last month.
As well as being a TLC match, Strowman vs Corbin will also include the following stipulations:
- If Corbin wins, he will become the permanent Raw general manager.
- If Strowman wins, he will challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal title at the 2019 Royal Rumble.
- If Corbin loses, he will be fired as acting Raw general manager.
Just by looking at the stipulations, it's anyone's guess as to how this match will go down on December 16, as there are still plenty of ways which WWE can book Lesnar vs Strowman if The Monster Among Men doesn't win at TLC.
Lesnar vs Strowman doesn't have to take place at the Royal Rumble either, as there have been reports suggesting The Beast might not defend the Universal title until WrestleMania 35. Therefore, Strowman can afford to lose at TLC and go on to win the Royal Rumble match itself.
Then again, WWE may also be ready to move on from Corbin as acting general manager of Raw and bring in a bigger name to the job ahead of WrestleMania season in 2019.
There are several ways which WWE could book Strowman vs Corbin at TLC, and with the added stipulations tied to the outcome of the clash, it should be entertaining to watch on December 16.
