Nobody in WWE cared Ronda Rousey was booed at Survivor Series - because of Charlotte Flair

There's no doubt that the WWE have got fully behind Ronda Rousey since she signed with the company earlier this year.

In the midst of a women's revolution in the company, Rousey has become the focal point of that and the WWE's most marketable star in that regard.

As one of the most dominant champions in UFC history, Rousey carries some star power that the women's division simply did not have prior to her arrival, but that's not the case anymore.

Whether Rousey's presence has elevated the women and increased their exposure or not is up for debate, but the fact that Becky Lynch is the hottest commodity in the company right now is not.

Charlotte Flair also entered a new stratosphere at Survivor Series with her brutal post-match attack of Rousey and after cooling a little bit during her feud with Lynch, Flair was reinvigorated in L.A.

Following the beatdown, Flair was serenaded in "Thank you, Charlotte" chants and Rousey was roundly booed as she made it to her feet.

According to Wrestling Observer, “nobody of importance” was upset with the crowd booing Rousey at Survivor Series. WWE isn’t worried about cheers or boos, they just want packed houses with loud fans - they want reactions.

Dave Meltzer said on Observer Radio, “they wanted three super over women when this was over.” The goal was to get Charlotte Flair the level of reaction Rousey and Becky Lynch have been getting after she cooled off during the Lynch feud.

Considering that reports have suggested that McMahon has made his mind up that Lynch and Rousey will main event WrestleMania 35, the need to elevate Charlotte to their standing is curious.

Of course, the seven-time world champion is one of the biggest stars and big-time performers in the WWE, but you can't always be on top and this seems to be Lynch's time.

Nia Jax is right in the mix as well as the number one contender to Ronda Rousey's Raw Women's title and as the woman who put Lynch on the shelf with a botched punch.

Survivor Series

Where Charlotte figures into this equation come WrestleMania season is hard to picture right now, but if the WWE is that concerned with keeping Charlotte's stock so high, perhaps a triple-threat match is on the horizon.
